Are you entitled to PTO to vote?

With mid-term elections coming up, it is crucial to exercise your right to vote.  However many people cite work as a reason not to vote.  In order to ensure as many people get the chance to vote as possible, many workplaces give PTO to employees to vote.  Additionally, many states have laws that require employers give workers time off to vote.

In Georgia, workers may be able to take up to two hours paid time off must be allowed unless you already have two consecutive hours outside of work to vote. Notice is required. Employers can choose the hours.  In Georgia, voting Polls open 7 am to 7 pm, except in Atlanta, where polling places remain open until 8 pm.
